Why Mills House matters for Hilton members

Mills House puts a points stay inside the historic district. Hilton lists the Gibbes Museum of Art and the City Market at 0.1 miles and White Point Gardens at 0.7 miles, so most of the peninsula is a walk.

The hotel has an outdoor pool with bookable cabanas, a courtyard restaurant and a coffee shop that opens at 6:30 AM. The catches are valet-only parking at $59 a night and a 25-pound limit on pets.

History and architecture, briefly

King Cabana View guest room at Mills House Charleston with traditional decor

Hilton describes Mills House as a pink landmark that has welcomed guests since 1853, on the corner of Queen and Meeting Streets. The black door on Queen Street, now the entrance to the hotel’s café, was the café entrance when the building operated as the St. Johns Hotel, according to the hotel’s dining page.
