My stay
My wife and I spent 2 nights at Casa Marina in June 2021. At the time it was Casa Marina Key West, A Waldorf Astoria Resort. It is now part of the Curio Collection by Hilton.
I booked an Ocean View King with a balcony on Hilton’s “2X Points” rate at $798.25 a night, paid in cash. State tax ran $59.87 a night and county tax $39.91 a night.
The resort charge was $45 a night, plus $3.38 and $2.25 in tax. Room, taxes and the resort charge came to $1,897.31 for the 2 nights. That is $300.81 on top of the room rate.
Self parking was $29 a night plus $2.18 tax.
The rest of the folio is food, drinks and the beach. Sun Sun shows 5 charges and 1 reversal: $34.49, $39.25, $42.25, $32.25 and $63.54, less a $39.25 reversal, for $172.53 net. The Pool & Beach outlet charged $397.50, and retail added $11.14. No Diamond food and beverage credit posted.

The hotel today
Checked October 14, 2026, on hilton.com. Anything that changed since my stay is marked.
- Brand: Casa Marina Key West, Curio Collection by Hilton, at 1500 Reynolds Street. Hilton says it reopened after a renovation. Changed since my stay: it was a Waldorf Astoria resort when I booked.
- Beach: a 1,100-foot private beach, which Hilton calls the largest in Key West.
- Pools: 2 oceanfront pools with cabanas. 1 is adults-only.
- Spa and gym: Spa al Maré and a fitness center with Peloton bikes.
- Dining: Dorada (Baja-Med), The Canary Room lobby bar, breakfast on the terrace or in the Flagler Ballroom, and Toes in the Sand. Four Marlins is next door at The Reach. Changed since my stay: Sun Sun is not on the current list.
- Parking: self parking $45 a night and valet $50. Changed since my stay: my folio showed $29.
- Resort charge: covers WiFi, poolside concierge, activities, beach chairs and umbrellas, access to amenities at The Reach, and water. The hotel page does not show the amount. My 2021 folio showed $45 a night.
- Pets: dogs up to 45 pounds, with a $75 non-refundable fee.
- WiFi: free.
- Check-in and check-out: 4 pm and 11 am. Late check-out costs $75 an hour after noon, until 4 pm. The minimum check-in age is 21.
- Nearby: Hilton lists Duval Street, the Hemingway Home, Mallory Square and the Key West Lighthouse, without distances.

The ocean view balcony king, the room type I booked in 2021, priced at $757 on the Wednesday, below the $798.25 a night I paid in June 2021. On points it returned only 0.28 cents per point.
Book it if
- You want the beach on the property. Casa Marina has 1,100 feet of private beach.
- You’re traveling with a dog under 45 pounds. The fee is $75 per stay.
- You want an adults-only pool. 1 of the 2 oceanfront pools is.
Skip it if
- Anyone checking in is under 21. That is the minimum age.
- You’re watching the total. On my stay, taxes and the resort charge added $300.81 to 2 nights, and self parking now costs $45 a night.
- You need a late check-out. It runs $75 an hour after noon.
How I rated it
4.1 out of 5, scored with the method on my rating page and only the facts above.
- Points value: fair. I paid cash in 2021. The entry room returned 0.45 to 0.63 cents per point on the sample nights, and my room type 0.28.
- Diamond benefits: weak on this stay. No food and beverage credit posted.
- Location: strong for a beach stay. Hilton calls the private beach the largest in Key West.
- Cost beyond the room: the weak spot. Taxes and the resort charge added $300.81 to 2 nights, and self parking has gone from $29 to $45.
- Room condition: Hilton says the hotel reopened after a renovation. My records don’t cover the room, so it doesn’t move the score.
