Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas review: a 100,000-point night with no resort charge

May 26, 2026 · · Hotel reviews and guides

Last updated October 14, 2026

My rating: 4.4 / 5

Short version: A 100,000-point night here cost me $45 in cash for valet and nothing else, which makes it a strong points stay in the middle of the Strip.

Best for: A 1-night points stay within walking distance of T-Mobile Arena and The Shops at Crystals.

Watch for: Valet is the only parking, at $48 a night, and cash stays carry a resort charge.

Stayed: March 2026

My stay

A city-view king room with floor-to-ceiling windows at Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas
A city-view king room at Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas, the room type I booked.

My wife and I spent 1 night at Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas in March 2026. The next day we checked in at Cliffrose Springdale for 4 nights.

I booked a City View King as a Standard Room Reward for 100,000 points. That covered the room. My folio shows no room tax and no resort charge.

The resort charge matters on a cash booking. My booking confirmation from January 2026 listed the hotel’s $55 daily resort charge, 13.38% tax and $45 valet parking. Hilton’s rule is that Reward stays carry no resort fees, and my folio matches it.

The only charge on my folio was valet parking at $45. The hotel has no self parking. No food or drink charges posted, and no Diamond food and beverage credit posted either.

The folio shows we checked out at 2:35 pm. Standard check-out is 11 am, and there was no late check-out charge.

Folio line What it shows
Room, 1 night 100,000 points (Standard Room Reward)
Room tax None
Resort charge None
Valet parking $45
Restaurants and bars None
Diamond food and beverage credit None posted
Check-out time 2:35 pm

That is the full record: 1 night, 100,000 points and $45 in cash. My folio and confirmation say nothing about service or the view, so this review leaves those out.

Book it if

  • You’re paying with points. My 100,000-point night carried no resort charge, and the confirmation listed $55 a night for it.
  • You want T-Mobile Arena, Dolby Live or the Bellagio Fountains on foot. Hilton lists all 3 within half a mile.
  • You want a pool deck with more than 1 pool. The 8th floor has 3.

Skip it if

  • You want to park your own car. Valet is the only option, at $48 a night.
  • You’re bringing a dog. Only service animals are allowed.
  • You’re paying cash and want to see every fee before booking. The hotel page lists what the resort charge covers and leaves out the amount.

How I rated it

4.4 out of 5, scored with the method on my rating page and only the facts above.

  • Points value: strong. 100,000 points covered the room with no tax and no resort charge, and the sample nights returned up to 0.77 cents per point.
  • Diamond benefits: mixed. No food and beverage credit posted. The 2:35 pm check-out cost nothing.
  • Location: strong. The Shops at Crystals is 0.1 miles away and T-Mobile Arena 0.5 miles.
  • Cost beyond the room: the weak spot. Valet is the only parking, now $48, and cash stays carry a resort charge.
  • Room condition: my records don’t cover it, so it doesn’t move the score.

I have stayed at more than 50 Hilton properties, from Home2 Suites and Tru hotels to Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas. I pay for my own stays. Guides to hotels I haven’t stayed at say so in their first line, and I say when a hotel isn’t worth the points. How I work.
