My rating: 4.0 / 5

Short version: My 5 nights in a 2-room king suite with a mountain view cost $1,844.28 with tax, an average of $368.86 a night, with breakfast and the evening reception included.

Best for: A longer Boulder stay in a 2-room suite, half a mile from CU Boulder.

Watch for: Self parking at $27 a day and a $300 pet fee for stays of 5 nights or more.

Stayed: May to June 2026

My stay

My wife and I spent 5 nights at Embassy Suites by Hilton Boulder at the end of May 2026, checking out in June. It’s an Embassy Suites by Hilton at 28th Street and Canyon Boulevard, half a mile from CU Boulder.

I booked a 2-room king suite with a mountain view on the Honors Semi-Flex rate. The nightly rate moved each night, from $274.93 to $348.63. 4 taxes and assessments posted each night: state tax, city tax, an assessment listed as LBAA, and city tax on that assessment. Together they came to 15% of the rate.

Night Rate Taxes
Night 1 $333.02 $49.91
Night 2 $314.66 $47.15
Night 3 $332.69 $49.85
Night 4 $274.93 $41.20
Night 5 $348.63 $52.24
Total $1,603.93 $240.35

The folio came to $1,844.28, or $368.86 a night. Nothing else posted: no parking and no food. My confirmation had listed self parking at $24 a day.

How I rated it

4.0 out of 5, scored with the method on my rating page and only the facts above.

  • Points value: fair for the plain 2-room suite at 0.37 cents per point midweek, weak for the mountain view at 0.26.
  • Diamond benefits: nothing posted on my folio. Breakfast and the evening reception are free for every guest.
  • Location: good for CU Boulder and 29th Street, with Pearl Street 1 mile away.
  • Cost beyond the room: low on my stay, when nothing posted beyond tax. Self parking is $27 a day if you drive.
  • Room condition: my records don’t cover the suite, so it doesn’t move the score.
