My rating: 3.7 / 5

Short version: My 4 nights cost $1,523.23, or $380.81 a night, on a $274 group rate with a $47-a-night standby upgrade. A skywalk links the hotel to Peachtree Center and MARTA.

Best for: Conventions and downtown events, without a car.

Watch for: Parking at $45 a day to self park or $60 for valet, and no pool on Hilton’s list of amenities.

Stayed: April to May 2026

My stay

My wife and I spent 4 nights at Hilton Atlanta in April and May 2026. It’s a Hilton Hotels & Resorts property on Courtland Street, downtown.

I booked through a group block at $274 a night. The confirmation listed 1 king bed.

The folio adds a standby upgrade to a different king room at $47 a night, plus $7.94 a night in tax on the upgrade. Over 4 nights that came to $219.76.

Room tax on the $274 rate was $51.31 a night: $24.39 in state room tax, $21.92 in occupancy tax and a $5.00 state hotel-motel fee.

No parking charge posted, and there was no resort or destination charge. The only food on the folio is $32.23 at an outlet listed as Marketplace.

The pre-arrival email set the Diamond benefit at a $15 daily food and beverage credit per person. A $30.00 credit posted against the Marketplace charge, so that meal cost $2.23.

Folio line Amount
Room, 4 nights at $274 $1,096.00
Standby upgrade, 4 nights at $47 $188.00
Tax on the upgrade $31.76
Room taxes and fees $205.24
Marketplace $32.23
Diamond food and beverage credit −$30.00
Parking None
Total $1,523.23

That is $380.81 a night with everything in.

Points or cash on 2 sample nights

Prices on hilton.com on October 14, 2026, for 1 night with 2 adults, on the flexible rate before tax. Cents per point is the cash rate divided by the points price.

Night Room Points Cash Cents per point
Wed, Nov 11, 2026 1 King Bed 60,000 $249 0.42
Sat, Nov 14, 2026 1 King Bed 60,000 $209 0.35

The king room held at 60,000 points on both nights, and both cash rates came in under my $274 group rate. At 0.35 to 0.42 cents per point, I’d pay cash on these dates.

Book it if

  • You’re in town for an event at the hotel or near Centennial Olympic Park, 6 blocks away.
  • You’re arriving without a car. My 4 nights had no parking charge.
  • You want MARTA close by. The skywalk runs to Peachtree Center.

Skip it if

  • You want a pool. Hilton’s amenity list for this hotel has none.
  • You’re driving and parking every day, at $45 self or $60 valet.
  • You plan to use points. The sample nights returned 0.35 to 0.42 cents per point.

How I rated it

3.7 out of 5, scored with the method on my rating page and only the facts above.

  • Points value: weak. Both sample nights cost 60,000 points against $209 and $249, or 0.35 to 0.42 cents per point.
  • Diamond benefits: the $15 daily credit per person, which posted against the only food charge on my folio.
  • Location: strong for downtown events, with the skywalk to Peachtree Center and MARTA.
  • Cost beyond the room: room taxes and fees of $51.31 a night on my rate, no resort charge, and parking at $45 to $60 a day for anyone who drives.
  • Room condition: my records don’t cover the room, so it doesn’t move the score.
