Hampton Inn Sedona review: 2 nights in a larger king with a sofabed

Last updated October 14, 2026

My rating: 4.0 / 5

Short version: My 2 nights in a larger king with a sofabed cost $595.27, with $17 a night for parking and breakfast included. Broken Arrow Trail and Cathedral Rock are within 6 miles.

Best for: Early starts on Sedona trails with a free hot breakfast first.

Watch for: No restaurant on site, and weekend cash rates that more than double midweek prices.

Stayed: November 2022

My stay

My wife and I spent 2 nights at Hampton Inn Sedona in November 2022. It’s a Hampton by Hilton on West Highway 89A.

I booked a larger king room with a sofabed on the Honors Semi-Flex rate. The first night was $277.33 and the second $210.71. 2 taxes posted each night, a state tax and a hotel tax, $65.03 in all, or 13.3% of the rate.

Parking posted at $17.00 a night. My confirmation had listed valet at $15. 1 purchase posted at the suite shop: $7.50 plus $0.70 in tax.

Points or cash on 2 sample nights

Prices on hilton.com on October 14, 2026, for 1 night with 2 adults, on the flexible rate before tax. Cents per point is the cash rate divided by the points price.

Night Room Points Cash Cents per point
Wed, Nov 18, 2026 2 Queen Beds 40,000 $152 0.38
Wed, Nov 18, 2026 1 King Bed, Larger Room with Sofabed 85,000 $192 0.23
Sat, Nov 21, 2026 2 Queen Beds 75,000 $391 0.52
Sat, Nov 21, 2026 1 King Bed, Larger Room with Sofabed 195,000 $441 0.23

The Saturday 2 queen room returned 0.52 cents per point, the best figure here. My room type, the larger king, returned 0.23 on both nights, so it’s a cash booking. The Saturday cash rate for the 2 queen room was 2.6 times the Wednesday rate.

How I rated it

4.0 out of 5, scored with the method on my rating page and only the facts above.

  • Points value: strong for a 2 queen room on a Saturday at 0.52 cents per point, weak for the larger king at 0.23.
  • Diamond benefits: nothing posted on my folio. Breakfast and WiFi are free for every guest.
  • Location: strong for hiking, with the main trailheads within 6 miles.
  • Cost beyond the room: low. Parking is $17 a day, unchanged since my stay.
  • Room condition: my records don’t cover the room, so it doesn’t move the score.
